AGRIF: Adaptive grid refinement in Fortran
نویسندگان
چکیده
Adaptive grid refinement in Fortran (AGRIF) is a Fortran90 package for the integration of adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) features within existing finite difference codes. The package first provides model-independent Fortran90 procedures containing the different operations in an AMR process: time integration of grid hierarchy, clustering, interpolations, updates, etc. The package then creates the Fortran90 model-dependent part of the code based on an entry file written by the user. The basic idea of AGRIF is to make use of Fortran90 pointers to successively address the variables of the different grids of an AMR process. As pointers can be used exactly like other (static) variables in Fortran, most of the original code will remain unchanged. r 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Modelling an alkenone-like proxy record in the NW African upwelling
A regional biogeochemical model is applied to the NW African coastal upwelling between 19 N and 27 N to investigate how a water temperature proxy, alkenones, are produced at the sea surface and recorded in the slope sediments. The biogeochemical model has two phytoplankton groups: an alkenone producer group, considered to be coccolithophores, and a group comprising other phytoplankton. The Regi...

This paper focuses on the use of High Performance Fortran (HPF) for important classes of algorithms employed in aerospace applications. HPF is a set of Fortran extensions designed to provide users with a high-level interface for programming data parallel scienti c applications, while delegating to the compiler/runtime system the task of generating explicitly parallel message-passing programs. متن کاملUnderstanding and implementing the finite element method
1 This book will make an excellent text for an undergraduate applied mathematics class on the numerical solution of partial differential equations by the finite element method. It contains a balanced blend of numerical methods, theory and implementation considerations. I was particularly pleased to see the treatment of modern techniques, like preconditioned conjugate gradients, multigrid, and a...
